The stretcher comes off
A wheeled trolley cannot go everywhere a patient needs to be collected from. Because the stretcher lifts clear of the base on its own handles, two people can carry a patient out of a stairwell, a lift lobby or a narrow doorway and place them straight back on the base without a second transfer onto a different surface.
Secured for the move
Restraint straps hold the patient while the stretcher is being carried or wheeled, and the drop-down side rails guard the patient on the base and fold clear for transfers onto a bed.
Base and height
The base is cross-braced powder-coated steel with a hand crank for height adjustment, so it can be levelled with a bed or an examination couch before transfer. Four castors with brakes lock it in position.
