Fully automatic sterilization with vacuum

This double door steam sterilizer runs the complete sterilization cycle automatically. A PLC (programmable logic controller) manages every stage: pre-vacuum air removal, steam admission, heat-up, sterilization hold, exhaust and post-vacuum drying. Removing air before steam enters lets steam reach wrapped packs, textiles, porous loads and hollow instruments evenly, and the vacuum drying stage leaves loads dry and ready for storage.

HMI touchscreen control

Operators select and start cycles on an HMI (human machine interface) touchscreen. The screen shows chamber temperature, pressure, cycle stage and time remaining, along with alarms and cycle status. Standard programmes for instruments, wrapped packs, textiles and liquids can be set up, and the PLC repeats them the same way every time, so results do not depend on the operator.

Double door pass-through design

With a door on each side, the sterilizer can be built into the wall between the loading area and the sterile side of a CSSD or operation theatre complex. Dirty loads go in from one side and sterile loads come out the other, keeping the two areas separate and supporting infection control. Door interlocks stop both doors from opening at once and stop a door from opening while the chamber is under pressure.

Jacketed chamber and steam generator

The double-walled chamber is heated by a steam jacket, which keeps the chamber walls hot, reduces condensation and speeds up cycles. Steam comes from an integrated electric steam generator, and jacket and chamber pressure gauges give a direct reading alongside the digital display. The doors use a radial arm locking system with a central hand wheel and heavy swing hinges, and the stainless steel cabinet stands on castors.
