Reclaiming the worktop
A packing bench needs clear space for the set being wrapped. Indicator tape, pouches, labels and documentation all compete for that space, and an overshelf is the simplest way to move them up and off the top without moving them out of reach.
Two tiers, still reachable
Two tiers give roughly twice the storage of one without pushing the top shelf above comfortable reach for a seated or standing operator. The lower tier takes what is used constantly, the upper tier what is used occasionally.
Mounting and finish
The unit mounts on vertical posts at the rear of the table, so the bench keeps its full working depth underneath. It is stainless steel throughout with turned shelf edges for rigidity, and wipes down with the bench.
