Description
Hanging rather than stacking
Anything folded and stacked keeps its creases and traps whatever moisture is left in the fabric. Over a rail the same item hangs flat and airs on both faces, which is why drapes and gowns are moved on rail trolleys rather than shelved carts.
Level or stepped rails
Three rails at equal height suit items of one length, and give the most hanging capacity in the footprint. Stepped rails set at descending heights suit a mix of lengths, so a long drape on the tall rail and a short gown on the low rail both hang clear of the floor. Both versions are shown above.
Stainless and welded
The frame is welded stainless throughout, so there is no coating to chip where trolleys knock door frames, nothing to corrode in a damp linen room, and no bolted joints to work loose. Four castors move it between the laundry, CSSD and theatre.
