Description
Closed, because the corridor is not clean
The journey between CSSD and theatre passes through corridors, lifts and lobbies that are not controlled environments. A closed cart is what keeps a processed set protected across that journey, and it is why case carts are specified as enclosed rather than shelved.
Washed down between runs
The shell, doors and shelves are stainless steel throughout, so the cart can be cleaned inside and out after a dirty return without a painted finish breaking down. Internal shelves separate sets so a heavy tray does not sit on a light one.
Handling loaded
A loaded case cart is heavy. The tubular push handle gives a proper two-handed grip away from the doors, and four castors with brakes let one person move it and lock it at the theatre door.
