Independent leg sections
A single hinged foot section only folds down as one piece. Split sections lower separately, which lets one leg be positioned for access while the other carries on supporting the patient, and lets both drop clear for lithotomy and perineal work without moving the patient to another table.
A flat plate base
The base is a flat stainless plate rather than a raised box, so there is no step at floor level to catch a trolley wheel or trap fluid, and the floor sweeps and mops clean right up to the column.
Control
The sections and height are crank operated from the foot end, keeping the controls clear of the sterile field and accessible to the circulating staff rather than the scrubbed team.
