Description
Sitting up or lying flat
Most consultations need the patient somewhere between flat and upright, and the position changes during the examination. The backrest adjusts through a range of settings and holds where it is set, so a chest examination, an abdominal examination and a dressing change can all be done on the same couch without the patient moving.
Upholstery that cleans
The top is a padded deck covered in wipe-clean vinyl with sealed seams, so it is disinfected between patients rather than laundered. For longer procedures where a patient lies still for some time, the heavy duty version with 3 inch upholstery is the better specification.
Frame and finish
The frame is powder-coated steel in round or square tube, cross braced between the legs so the couch does not rack when a patient sits on the edge to get on or off. Floor protectors on the feet keep the couch from marking the floor. Frame and upholstery colours can be matched to the room.
